Why Grateful City Exists

We cannot teach gratitude simply by telling kids to be grateful. It grows when children understand their community, meet the people helping it, and experience the joy of contributing themselves.

Grateful City turns that idea into family adventures through city guides, Explorer Passports, hands-on missions, conversation prompts, and badges that help kids discover the causes they care about.

Starting in Wichita

Our first guide, Grateful City: Wichita, introduces families to local nonprofits and community organizations through kid-friendly profiles and practical ways to help. Every experience is designed to be hopeful, respectful, age-aware, and rooted in real local needs.
